Beer Gratitude and a Story
In the past week, I’ve received more than a couple of lovely comments about my beer reviews. I want everyone to know that I very much appreciate the words and I’m glad you’re enjoying the reviews, and that my love for all things beer does come through.
I’m making this post because either I’m not smart enough to figure out how to reply to replies that I get on Tumblr, or that feature just simply doesn’t exist. I swear, I’ve spent more time trying to figure out how to reply to feedback I get than I have reviewing beer — and it’s funny, because it seems like only certain people can reply to my reviews. I can’t even reply to my own reviews. It boggles my mind, and it’s the only feature (or lack of feature, I guess) that I dislike about Tumblr.
So, just letting you know, I hear you all and THANK YOU. If you follow me, I follow back, even if you’re not all about beer. Because most people that would take the time to read a craft beer review are pretty interesting, my research has shown…
Anyway, back to beer. As you can see, my hundredth beer review will be approaching, probably sometime in February. I’ve been thinking for a couple of weeks about what beer I will review for #100, as I wanted to do something special. Well, last night, I had an opportunity to pick up a beer I was shut out of last year and have been seeking ever since. And like any dedicated beer drinker, all beer I had planned to drink last night was abandoned for this new (to me) and exciting beer. As such, I’m now behind on my reviews because I had planned to do one last night. So hopefully I can catch up sometime this weekend.
I’m not going to tell you what the beer is, but I did an ice/salt bath on it to quickly get it cold and enjoy it. You will see it when review #100 rolls around.
